Nos conocimos en enero. Inglés (X)

The strange creature or the triple meeting

We met in January, and on the 14th April that being managed to open its eyes, yawn as the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s lion used to do and to stretch as the most elastic band on Earth would do.

It was such a soft, delicate being, with such an apparent fragility that we were so keen to hold it tight and give it many, many cuddles. But we were really cautious: it was allowed to sleep all that long time -since the day you and me met, since the day we met it in that wood-, and to remain in the same state we had found it in, that way, sweetly asleep.

Anyone would think that we are talking about a bear cub, either maybe a puppy or a kitten, but we are not. That creature was much stranger and, consequently, extraordinary. It had the beautiful upper body of an adolescent human being, the wings of a dark bat, the orange beak of a duck, the brown extremities of a deer and, for ending, the velvety tail of a tiger.

The fact was we had let it to sleep and dream because, at the sight of such a creature of Nature, we were not certain being awake ourselves. However, it was precisely why we were being together in our dream (dream?). It was so different from anything we could have ever seen, that we could not avoid it, avoid each other! Simply, it acted as a link between us.

And on the 14th April, it managed to open its eyes, yawn, stretch and get up, and, after having given us the sweetest of smiles, it trotted off, not saying goodbye.
